Spring is on it’s way today, the government has annouced the gradual lifting of lockdown restrictions and weddings are finally back on the cards. I’ve missed photographing weddings so much more than I could of imagined, it feels like I’ve never gone so long without seeing two people say ‘I do’. I’m so excited to catch up with all my wonderful couples - we’re going to have double the celebration and every single moment will be so special.
Today, I wanted to share one of the few weddings that managed to take place in 2020 and it was one of the best. Gemma and Jonathan held a very small wedding with just a few family members in the summer, but through photography and technology they managed to share their day with all their would-be-guests, live streaming the ceremony and sharing their day through their wedding photographs.
Check out this gorgeous church, St. Peter’s in Horbury, West Yorkshire. Oh and the flowers! The bride made those herself - wow!
It feels like wedding photography has never been so important, it means we can share our magical day with those who can’t be there in person (and share it in such a beautiful way!).
